On the joyous occasion of its Silver Jubilee Celebration, Montfort Secondary School, Dilni-Bolchugre, commemorated twenty-five years of dedicated service in the field of education with profound gratitude, joy and reverence. The celebration stood as a living testimony to the school’s enduring commitment towards nurturing young minds and shaping lives through knowledge, discipline and values.

The auspicious celebration commenced with the solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Rt. Rev. Bishop Jose Chirackal, Auxiliary Bishop of Tura. In an atmosphere filled with prayer and thanksgiving, students, teachers, parents, villagers and well-wishers gathered together to thank God for the abundant blessings bestowed upon the School throughout its remarkable journey. The Eucharistic celebration reflected the spirit of faith, unity and hope that has guided the school through the years.

Following the Holy Mass, the cultural programme unfolded with colour, enthusiasm and celebration. The stage came alive with vibrant performances, songs, dances and expressions of gratitude that beautifully reflected the rich culture, talents and joyful spirit of the students.

The occasion was graced by Rt. Rev. Jose Chirackal, the Auxiliary Bishop of Tura, as the Chief Guest and Bro. Maria Soosai, Provincial Superior of Northeast India, as the Guest of Honour. Among the distinguished personalities present was Bro. VK George, the well-regarded founder of the school, whose vision, sacrifice and dedication laid the foundation for the institution’s growth and success.

During the formal programme, inspiring speeches were delivered by the Chief Guest, Rt. Rev. Bishop Jose Chirackal and by the Guest of Honour, Bro. Maria Soosai SG, by the Founding Principal, Bro. V.K. George SG, and by one of the respected village headmen who had generously donated the land for the establishment of the school. Their words echoed gratitude, encouragement and hope, while recalling the humble beginnings and remarkable journey of the institution through the years.

A particularly touching moment of the celebration was the felicitation of the founder, Bro. V.K. George, whose tireless dedication and visionary leadership were honoured with deep respect and appreciation. The village headmen who had contributed the land for the school were also honoured in gratitude for their generosity and support. Their contributions were remembered as seeds of sacrifice that have now blossomed into a beacon of education and hope for the community. Furthermore, many parents of our students were once students of the School. Their presence brings more joy and encouragement to the students and teachers.

The Silver Jubilee celebration concluded with the distribution of lunch packets to all those gathered for the occasion. Though simple in gesture, it beautifully reflected the spirit of fellowship, sharing and communal joy that marked the entire celebration.

Thus, the Silver Jubilee of Montfort Secondary School, Dilni-Bolchugre became more than a celebration of years; it became a heartfelt tribute to faith, sacrifice, service and the transformative power of education.
